Peas-Maker Team, Aggies Invent                                      2015- Present

$1,000 1st Place Winning Team

  • 1 of 60 selected to participate in Aggies Invent- a 48 hour process in which teams design an invention in the Engineering Innovation Center, a 20,000 square foot prototyping lab.

  • After 48 hour deadline, students are encouraged to further develop their design for implementation. The idea is to jumpstart the formation of start-ups.

  • Sevilla Nueva requested a machine to aid rural individual farmers in the process of breaking pigeon pea pods at an inexpensive cost, increasing efficiency & in turn, increasing income.

  • The "Peas-Maker" team won 1st place & a $1,000 prize.

 

Pop-Up Courses, Engineering Innovation Center            2015- Present
  • ​Patents & Patent Searching- information on types of patent protection & Texas A&M's Patent & Trademark Resource Center.

  • Video Production- information on basic operation of video production.

  • Effective Elevator Pitch- information on how to deliver a product/ concept/ project in 2 minutes.

 

Start-Up 101, Texas A&M Entrepreneurship Society â€‹       2015- Present

  • Fundraised on revenue committee to finance the 3 week workshop series.

Marketing & Merchandising, Kyle Field Day                     2014- May 2015
  • Kyle Field Day- a 1-day service event hosting a variety of booths where students & residents of Bryan-College Station have the opportunity to participate in hands-on service projects.

  • Contacted & acquired sponsorship & participation from organizations, schools, churches, radio stations, & numerous businesses in order to advertise about Kyle Field Day.

  • Purchased merchandise including a billboard, a banner hung across a building on the Texas A&M campus, & posters, table tents, & other miscellaneous items distributed across Bryan/ College Station.

 
Texas Christian University High School Investor Challenge  2013- 2014
  • Selected for TCU's Neely School of Business' High School Investor Challenge for incoming seniors across the United States with aspirations in investing.  

  • Participated in courses that taught finance, economics, intro college sophomore accounting, and how to research stocks and use Valueline. 

  • Competed with the 40 selected students, managing a $100,000 virtual portfolio through an online investment account by trading stocks listed on the NYSE and NASDAQ and submitted monthly reports to TCU.

  • Finished among the top portfolios at the awards dinner in April 2014.
